现任职中国海洋大学生命学院底栖生物实验室，教授，硕士生导师。1988年本科毕业于中国海洋大学（原山东海洋学院）生物系，2001年获香港大学博士学位，2005年瑞典哥德堡大学动物系博士后, 2013年加拿大圭尔夫大学安达略生物多样性研究所暨加拿大DNA条形码中心访问学者。1999-2003年期间分别在英国普利茅斯海洋研究所、瑞典国家自然历史博物馆、日本京都大学及香港大学环境毒理实验室进行短期访问和合作研究。主要科研方向为生物海洋学、海洋底栖生物的生态学、分子分类学和系统演化。主讲2门本科生、2门研究生及1门中德硕士联合培养英文课程的教学任务；指导硕士研究生8名，协助指导博士生4名。担任国家自然科学基金通讯评审以及国内外SCI和核心学术期刊同行评审专家。在国际及国内主流刊物发表论文45篇，主编著作1部，参编教材及著作9部；参与和主持国家级和省部级科研项目20余项，其中7项为主持人。
