主要科研领域：
从事微生物海洋学研究，包括近海、深渊等典型环境中微生物群落的多样性与形成机制、海洋微生物驱动的生物地球化学循环、关键海洋功能微生物类群的进化历史及驱动机制等。
在Science Advance、ISME J、Microbiome等国际权威期刊发表论文40余篇，成果入选中国海洋与湖沼十大科技进展。主持国家自然科学基金重大研究计划培育项目和面上项目， 获得山东省“杰青“和“优青”项目支持。相关研究获山东省自然科学二等奖、山东省高等学校科学技术二等奖、青岛市自然科学二等奖、中国海洋大学东升课程教学卓越奖一等奖等。
